Short Story Contest Winner: Katharine Robey

Fearless Scrivener and our founder, Katharine Robey, is the first place winner of the 2023 Short Story Contest of the International Conference of the Short Story in English. Her submission, “Last Train to Banff” is a great read and you can access it through the link above.

From the ICSSE site: The International Conference on the Short Story in English was first launched in 1988 in Sorbonne Nouvelle, Paris, by the Society for the Study of the Short Story in English (SSSS) as a colloquium which has grown in stature and gained prominence over the years.

The 16th annual ICSSE conference was a five-day conference in Singapore held in June of 2023.

Yet, find it mutually supportive. Whether creating science fiction or romance, children’s picture book or young adult, medical or architectural history, we all look to improve the telling of the tale. We teach each other as we teach ourselves and we navigate the dusky, ever-changing paths of publishing together.
